WORKSHOPS IN NATURE!

Experience a tremendous artistic holiday at Citron et Papillon on the banks of the beautiful Dordogne river in France.

Immerse yourself in a green, rugged but fairy-like setting in an enchanting artistic world!

Citron et Papillon is the meeting place in France where theatre, dance, music and art come together with nature, stimulating your creativity. Waterfalls, ruins, meadows, forest and the river will become your inspiration and your natural studio and stage. It will be a week of improvisation, introspection and challenges, but above all, a week of having fun and social interaction.

Camping in the French countryside, you will tumble out of your tent every morning and attend inspiring workshops.

In the leisure hours you can relax in a hammock, bathe in the river, visit idyllic villages or beautiful caves. The evenings will be spent together around a campfire.

A fresh French breakfast, lovely warm lunch and a light dinner will be provided every day, you can leave all that to us.

ROOM AND SPACE FOR EVERYONE!

The workshops are suitable for everyone from the age of 18. Some experience is preferred but beginners are also most welcome!

The workshops take place at Citron et Papillon in Bassignac le Bas, situated on the banks of the river Dordogne.

With a mutual theme in various disciplines, you will discover new challenges and creations.

Each workshop is taught separately, so you attend one discipline, but there will be the opportunity for spontaneous interdisciplinary team-work!

If you are a FRIEND or a PARTNER and you prefer not to be too active, but you love France, art, camping, dance, nature, music, food, theatre and much more, sign up soon, as we have limited spaces for you!

During the seven day workshops, CHILDREN aged 4 to 11 are also welcomed, as we will have a special children's program. Children outside this age range are very welcome under your own supervision, but we do not have specific programs for them at the moment.

ABOUT CITRON & PAPILLON!

The name Citron et Papillon means lemon and butterfly. Together, they form the word lemon-butterfly, which is the Dutch translation of the common brimstone butterfly. When we found this beautiful place, amidst abundant nature, we – Almer and Danielle – were surrounded by these bright yellow butterflies fluttering above the wild flower fields. It became the basis for Citron et Papillon. Citron (lemon) sounds cheerful and brings to mind freshness, youth and clarity. Butterflies bring joy and playfulness. As they dance from flower to flower, they remind us that we shouldn’t take life too seriously, to have fun and enjoy!

Having lived in France for 11 years, Citron et Papillon allows us to live our dream, together with our five children, dog, three cats, eight chickens and a donkey.
